NASHIA Takes Sensitization Campaign To Doma, Assures Beneficiaries of Effective And Quality Healthcare Service Delivery

The Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) has extended its sensitization and awareness campaign to Doma Local Government Area of the state aimed at keeping the beneficiaries knowledgeable of the scheme.

The agency has also restated its commitment of effective and quality health care service delivery to the beneficiaries towards attainment of Universal Health Coverage. 

Pharmacist Kaki Maikudi Kudu, the agency's Director of Health Services Standard and Quality Control who underscored the essential of the Health Insurance Scheme gave the assurance on Thursday at a one day sensitisation meeting with the beneficiaries of the programme held at the Council Secretariat in Doma. 

While calling on them especially those yet to be enrolled to subscribe into and embrace the scheme, elated Pharm Kaki explained that the scheme will give them financial protection as well as overcome out of pocket spending while accessing health care.

He lauded the beneficiaries for their openness in airing their complaints and challenges, assuring that they would all be looked into.

In response to concerns expressed by the beneficiaries, the NASHIA team visited some Healthcare facilities in the area as part of their efforts to address the concerns brought up by the beneficiaries. 

The beneficiaries in their remarks, decribed the programme as timely, thanked NASHIA for the sensitization. They pledged to apprise their colleagues and the public on the need to enroll in the scheme.

Pinnacle of the event were questions and answers while the interactive session had in  attendance the NASHIA Desk Officer for Doma, Union Leaders and members amongst others.
