New NASHIA Executive Secretary Assumes Office, Advocates for TeamworÄ·
Dr Yahaya Bawa Ubam, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency has officially assumed office following his appointment by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A Sule, calling for team work to move the agency forward.
While addressing the management and Staff on Tuesday at the conference hall of the agency during a familiarization session, the Executive Secretary commended his predecessor for the giant strides and for putting the agency in a good footing within a short period of creating the agency, Dr Ubam assured everyone of a new dawn, pledging to build on the legacy of his predecessor to improve the work environment towards achieving the mandate of the Agency.
Dr Ubam, in his speech, he gave them his word that he would use the teamwork spirit to work with everyone in harmony and unity.
"I don't want anybody to have any fear in his mind about me because I believe people to work together in harmony by such doing we are going to achieve alot", he said.
The agency has achieved numerous milestones over the years, and the Executive Secretary expressed gratitude to all of the staff members for their hard work, dedication and contributions, just as he charged them to sustain the tempo by developing good work ethics and see their duty posts as an opportunity to make an impact as well as add value to the agency and the state in general.
He sought for the support of all members of staff and says cooperation is key to achieve the agency's set goals and objectives.
Dr Ubam, a gynecologist, reiterated that his doors are opened to welcome ideas and contributions, calling on them to bring their hands on deck as they work to achieve a common goal.
In his remarks, Pharmacist Kaki Maikudi Kudu, the agency's Director of Health Services Standard and Quality Control, assured the Executive Secretary of the cooperation, commitment, goodwill and support of the management and members of staff as he works towards taking the agency to an enviable height.
