NASHIA Takes Sensitisation and Awareness Campaign to COE Akwanga, IMAP Lafia

In an effort to ensure that state owned Tertiery Institutions subscribe and embrace the Health insurance scheme, the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), has on Tuesday carried out a sensitisation and re-awareness campaign to the Management of College of Education, Akwanga and Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, respectively.

The visit to the Institutions signal the commitment of the agency to carry everyone along in meeting up with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC). 

Leading the campaign, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Yahaya Bawa Ubam stressed the essential of health insurance scheme and encouraged the institutions to embrace the scheme considering its benefits. 

Noting that the scheme is meant to give financial protection as well as overcome out of pocket spending while accessing health care.

He further solicited for the support of the Management of the institutions in enrolling its students in to the Tertiery Institution Social Health Insurance Programme (TISHIP) of the agency.
