NASHIA Holds Review Meeting With Healthcare Providers and Third Party Administrators, urge them to be committed to their duties
The Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), has urged NASHIA Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to be committed to their duties towards attainment of Universal Health Coverage in the state.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Gaza Gwamna gave the urge on Thursday during a review meeting with NASHIA Healthcare providers HCPs and Third party Administrators (TPAs) held at the Conference Hall of Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Chietaincy Affairs, Lafia.
Dr Gaza Gwamna assured them that quality health services will be provided to the enrollees registered with the state health insurance scheme.
Thus, the objective of the review meeting was to highlight the roles and responsibilities of Health providers ,Third party Administrator's and other key stakeholders towards achieving universal Health Coverage in the state.
While speaking On behalf of the TPAs , Mrs Naomi Aaron Dadwang of HCI Healthcare Ltd commended NASHIA for organizing the meeting .She advised all the participants to be up and doing and to report to any issue to the respective TPA, just as she encouraged the Healthcare providers not hesitate to run into any of their offices for assistance.
Responding, the Desk officer DASH Danjuma Ahmed Almakura said that most of the health facilities are already compliant with the NASHIA policy. He called on individuals who cannot fill or process claims forms correctly should seek for clarification before filing it, according to him, this would help smoothen the operation of the scheme.
In the same vein, another meeting was also held on Friday to review the enrollment of vulnerable population into the Basic Health Care Provision Fund program as well as to plan towards enrollment of new beneficiaries and to also revalidate the existing beneficiaries for 2022, Health Secretaries and desk officers of the program in all the LGAs and Development Areas of the state were engaged.
The meeting gave opportunity to Health Secretaries and desk officers to interact and discuss on issues affecting effective implementation of BHCPF program at various LGAs and Development Areas of the state.
